Products and availability
We make reasonable efforts to describe and display each product accurately. Ghee may naturally vary slightly in colour, aroma and texture between batches or with temperature. Products marked coming soon or out of stock cannot be purchased. All orders remain subject to availability.
Prices
Prices are shown in South African rand. Maha Ghee is not currently VAT registered and does not charge VAT. The complete retail price and delivery charge will be shown before you approve payment. Wholesale pricing is available separately to approved trade customers. Pantry Pool pricing is a separate personal-use group offer and is not wholesale.
Pantry Pool group orders
A Pantry Pool is packed in same-size cases of 12 jars. Choose 12 x 500 ml jars or 12 x 1 litre jars, or another full multiple of 12 in the same size. The two jar sizes cannot be mixed in one Pantry Pool order. The current 12-jar prices are R185 per 500 ml jar and R335 per 1 litre jar. Delivery and protective packaging are confirmed separately.
A customer buying the full same-size case can pay through the normal website checkout; the case price is applied automatically when that product line reaches 12 jars. Private shared Pools and public town Pools will only accept separate participant payments after the protected Pool-payment system is activated. Monday at 12:00 is the cleared-payment cutoff for the next Wednesday dispatch. Unfilled-Pool payments will remain protected and refundable until the Pool reaches its confirmed target.
Referral profiles and points
When you complete checkout, we may create an email-linked Maha customer profile and personal referral link for you. One referral point is recorded for each eligible jar bought through that link and becomes earned after the referred order is dispatched. Points accumulate across separate standard orders, private Pools and public town Pools; you do not need to fill an entire case or Pool yourself.
Self-referrals do not qualify. Points connected to cancelled, refunded, reversed or abusive transactions may be withheld or reversed. Points are personal, non-transferable and have no cash value. The redemption rules and any account-credit value will be published before redemption is activated; until then, valid earned points remain recorded on the customer profile.
Placing an order
You are responsible for checking the products, quantities, delivery selection and contact details before paying. An order is accepted once payment has been successfully confirmed and we issue an order confirmation. We may contact you if an item becomes unavailable or information is incomplete.
Payment
Online payment will be processed through Yoco's secure checkout. Available payment methods will be shown at checkout. We do not store complete card details.

Our Delivery & Returns Policy forms part of these terms. It explains available delivery methods, customer-supplied address or locker information, cancellations, damaged products and refunds.
Food and allergen information
Maha Ghee begins as butter. Our traditional process cooks away virtually all moisture and lactose, caramelises the milk solids for flavour, and filters those solids out to leave near-pure butterfat. Many people who are sensitive to lactose find ghee easy to enjoy. Because butter is the starting ingredient, milk is declared as an allergen on the product label.
Acceptable website use
You may use this site for lawful personal or business purchasing and enquiries. You may not interfere with the store, attempt unauthorised access, submit false information or reproduce our branding and content for commercial use without permission.
Errors and interruptions
We may correct genuine pricing, stock or content errors. If an error materially affects a paid order, we will contact you and offer an appropriate correction or refund. We do not promise that the site will always be available without interruption, but this does not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
South African law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, including applicable consumer and electronic-transactions legislation. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
