Application terms

What to expect

Approval. Trade wholesale is for approved retailers, resellers and foodservice businesses. If your application is accepted, we will send a short stockist agreement to read and sign before the first order.
Pricing. Wholesale prices are shared privately on request and confirmed for approved stockists. Maha Ghee is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged or claimable.
Minimum order. The standard MOQ is one same-size case: 12 x 500 ml jars or 12 x 1 litre jars. Sizes cannot be mixed to make up a case.
Catering formats. Foodservice prices are quoted and confirmed individually while we finalise reliable food-safe packaging.
Planning ahead. Please allow up to 10 working days for production and packing. Reorder when you reach roughly a quarter of your normal stock level so there is time to refill the shelf before it is empty.
Payment. We do not offer payment terms to new accounts. Cleared payment is required before stock is packed, held or dispatched. An unpaid invoice may be released after 48 hours unless we have arranged otherwise. Credit may be considered later, after a reliable trading history and written agreement.
Availability. Orders are subject to stock. Unavailable items may be placed on back-order and supplied when ready.
Restocking. You can reorder when needed or ask us to check in by WhatsApp, email or phone. We will agree on a rhythm that feels useful rather than annoying.
Delivery. PUDO or door-to-door courier can be arranged. Quotes may change with courier fuel surcharges and destination costs. You are welcome to book your own courier; we will share the collection address once the order is confirmed.
Damage. Courier damage or order discrepancies should be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the parcel, packaging and jars.
Product care. Store sealed jars upright in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Natural changes in texture with temperature are normal.
Retail pricing. Current recommended retail prices are R280 for 500 ml and R495 for 1 litre. These are recommendations only; independent stockists set their own resale prices.
Barcodes and presentation. Every jar already has a usable barcode. If your system requires a separate store barcode, place it neatly on the back or base where it will not cover the front artwork or important label information.
